C.A.V.E.S. Project
C.A.V. E. S. Project, created by Blakeley Angelle White and Daniel Fetecua Soto, is an interdisciplinary dance-theater laboratory that explores the intersections of equity, embodiment, art, and the natural world. Rooted in the values of Compassion, Authenticity, Vulnerability, Emotion, and Sensuality, C.A.V.E.S. foregrounds process-driven creation in both individual and community-based collaborations.
Drawing from their respective legacies in the modern dance traditions of Martha Graham and José Limón, White and Fetecua build on the humanistic and expressive power of those canons, channeling them into a contemporary collaborative vision that emphasizes relational, embodied inquiry.
The Tongue of the Flame
What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead. What sets us apart isn’t just our process—it’s the intention behind it. We take time to understand, explore, and create with purpose at every turn.
Simple ideas
Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for thoughtful, lasting work.
Lasting impact
We build with clarity, act with integrity, and always stay curious.

Fjord Review
"With eyes closed, Blakeley White-McGuire and Daniel Fetecua Soto felt stones on their bare feet and the sun on their cheeks, but most of all, they felt each other. Taking turns guiding as the other moved blindly, the modern dance stars made their way through the Sacred Labyrinth on Block Island, RI, and into “The Tongue of the Flame,” what would become their new intimate dance theater duet.”

“White-McGuire explains, "[…] The first section is nude, which is not so revolutionary. However, we're nude and very intimate, not in an erotic way, but in a pure, open-hearted, open-bodied manner. Nothing is off-limits. When you start with nothing is off-limits, you better trust the person you're working with."
